Privacy Policy

Atlas does not collect your personal data. The entries and preferences you save in the app are kept in local storage on your device. We do not receive them or keep a copy on our servers.

The app stores the information you choose to enter, including:

• Country, optional region or city, date, nickname, gender, and notes for each entry.
• Your theme preference, most recently selected country, and optional app-lock credentials.

The app uses this data only to display your journal and map, remember your preferences, and operate the optional app lock.

This data may be included in device backups you make yourself, such as an iCloud or computer backup, under your own backup settings. We have no access to those backups.

• The app does not require an account, sign-up, or login.
• We do not use analytics, crash reporting, ads, or trackers.
• We do not provide cloud sync or keep a database of your entries.
• The app does not request your location. You choose countries, regions, and cities manually.

We do not receive, sell, rent, or share your entries or app settings with third parties. The app contains no advertising or third-party tracking software.

The app lock is optional. If you set a PIN, the app stores a salted hash rather than the PIN itself. We cannot see or recover your PIN. If you forget it, you can choose "Forgot PIN? Reset app data" on the lock screen. This removes the PIN and permanently deletes every entry stored by the app.

The PIN helps prevent casual access to the app, but no method of storing information on a device can be guaranteed completely secure. Keep your device and operating system protected and up to date.

Your entries remain on your device until you delete them. You can delete individual entries or use "Wipe all entries" in Settings to remove every entry while keeping your theme and PIN settings. Removing the app also removes its locally stored data.

The app is intended only for adults aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including anyone under 18.

We may update this policy if the app or its data practices change. The date at the top will show when the policy was last revised.
